One of the strategies of online marketing that rose to fame recently is influencer marketing. It is noticed that a lot of people are highly trusted and grab attention of a lot of audience. When you succeed to get these influencers’ attention to share your content or recommend your product, then it would be something of great importance to your business.

But how you can succeed in this big challenge? How to grab their attention to your content?

The rule to keep in mind is about “value” and if your content is “useful”. 
Your defy is doubled when you are a new business into a niche without much audience. What you face then is how to add value for these influencers when you don’t have a personal influence.

The first thing you need to do is to know these influential folks’ audience. This way you will build an image of the person you are looking to help and provide useful information or products.

What they are working on?
And how you can help them?
Ask what you can offer in turn when they do you a favor?

You need always to think first of what you would offer to those influencers and not just what the profit you will generate from building a relationship with them. There will always be some value you can help these influencers with.

Even if you don’t have thousands of followers on social media and you are not a top influencer, but by sharing valuable content on your social media profiles, you’ll grab  attention of those smart busy people. Never underestimate the force of social media.

When you share valuable information, people are likely to like and share your content with their followers. Most people read their mentions, so if you mention them when you share those influencers’ content and write an appraisal, they will notice that.

Honest Contact with Influencers

It’s something in human nature. We all want a kind of recognition for our efforts. So, when an influencer spent hours of hard work in creating a blog post, podcast, or any kind of content, they like hearing feedback from someone and how that content is useful.

So, you can take time to write an email and contact the influencer about his content. But, you need to be objective and honest. Give details how his content has helped you, and what points you haven’t understood. You can even mention something you do not agree with, but always be respectful and treat people in a decent manner.

Link to Influencers’ Content

When you write a piece of content, take time to link to high quality content shared by these influencers and you can later contact them and inform them about the link. But, when you don’t have much audience you can use another tip.

You can write valuable content, as always, and contribute to great sites in your niche. And you can also link to great influencers of your market. If your content is valuable, your content will be under the radar of audience and influencers as well. Thus, it will be beneficent for you, influencer you are linking to, and the website you are contributing to.    

Review Influencers’ Work

Like the email contact you can send to the influencer, you can also write a detailed review of their work and share it on your blog. But, never expect something in turn for doing this. You just write good review, share it with your audience, and you can tell the influencer about that, but he’s is free to share or not.

If what you have written provides great insights and valuable information, the influencer might thank you for time spent on creating that content. And then he might reward you with a share to his large audience. 

Build Relationship with Influencers

To do that, you can send them something they would love. You can for instance start this relationship by sending these influencers books you think they would love reading, samples of your product, or even personal gifts such as cookies, or invite them to an exclusive event and give them the opportunity to speak to the audience, or any kind of gifts.

If you don’t get the appropriate idea of what would interest them, just wait until you discover what they would like via their social media profile and their activity.

Invest in Influencers

You can invest in building relationship with influencers by buying them something. You can for instance buy them a gift as already mentioned, or pay for their service or pay for something meaningful for them. Investing money to build relationship with top influencers would be something beneficial to you to build your audience.

Help Influencers Audience

Influencers know very much that their capital is their audience, and they valorize their relationship. When you share some expertise to help an influencer’s audience, they would appreciate the value you are adding to their audience.  

Free Work for Influencers

Another tip of building a relationship with an influencer is by doing a free work for them. Doing a free work doesn’t mean to contact them asking to do anything. But, you do the work for them so that they can offer value with less effort.

When you are working to grab influencers’ attention, always remember that most of these folks are busy. Some may ignore your contact, some may not like what you have done, and some may even be impolite. But, never mind, you will find some people that are ready to build relationship and collaborate with you.
